Mixon-Brown… The real real post
This is it. The real post. I’ve given you 2 teasers of this wedding and it’s finally all ready to go up! So, I’ve decided to make it a long one. Not to mention this was my last wedding for the year, and it will be a while before you’ll see another wedding here so enjoy these. Seriously, it’s really long!
I’ll try to keep things on my blog interesting in the next couple of months anyway!
Derek and Tara are both super sweet and very easy going, it was so great to work for them. Their wedding was absolutely beautiful. No detail was overlooked. They were married at 10am in Auburn, Georgia in the Carl House ballroom. The ceremony was followed by a delicious brunch, and then it was on to Tara’s parent’s amazing house at Chateau Elan in Braselton for the after party!
I think my absolute favorite shots from the whole wedding were taken in the bridal suite while the girls were getting ready. All of Tara’s portraits are stunning. Maybe i like them most because everything in the suite was purple – my favorite color! Or maybe it’s just because Tara is simply a stunning model!
This one was taken the night before during the rehearsal dinner. The last time the couple saw each other before their walk down the isle.

After Tara tried unsucessfully numerous times to get Xander to have his portrait made with her, I finally got this lucky shot!
I stole the couple for a few minutes to get away to this great tree for some quiet portraits.
But then it was back inside for more of the festivities…

What’s next?
This is where most of the action happened during the after party. There was a bar and a game-room here… as well as a gym and what I would pretty much call a home movie theater. Most of the guys didn’t stop watching the football game the whole time. There were even speakers built into the ceiling in the bathroom that were tuned into the game.
