101 in 1001

I have 1001 days to complete this list of 101 goals… check back to see my progress.

Start Date: October 31, 2008

End Date:  July 29, 2011

I hear it takes 90 days to make a habit, so for all the ones that appear to be goals that go on forever, I can check them off after 90 days of being good… and for a couple of the vague others, I can check off after being good 30 times (ex. wake up the first time my alarm goes off – 30 times.)

*These are in no particular order*

  1. Go to the gym at least 3 times a week

  2. Wake up the first time my alarm clock goes off

  3. Walk to the grocery store more often

  4. Go to Mexico

  5. Go to New England in Autumn

  6. Go to Vegas (WPPI) completed Feb 12-19 2009

  7. Go to New York in December

  8.   9. Read 10 classics that I’ve never read (0/10)

  10. Transition to use of as many as possible all natural products (face wash, face lotion, dish soap, laundry soap, toothpaste, deodorant, foundation)

  11. Make a nice inspiration book that doesn’t look sloppy (completed March 2010)

  12. Go to a flea market (completed March 2010 Cline’s)

  13. Plant the bulbs I’ve had around for over a year (completed dec 22, 2009)

  14. Write in a journal more than 1 time a week

  15. Clean up the back yard completed November 08… property managers did it for us!

  16. Do 50 sit-ups a day

  17. Join a networking group and go to at least 10 meetings (3/10) Started a networking group and have had 4 meetings so far!  http://www.meetup.com/eat-and-meet/

  18. Learn to sail

  19. Learn to really play the Banjo that is hiding in my closet

  20. Brush up on my Russian

  21. Drink only water for 3 months to try to form a habit (One coffee before 10am, Hot Chocolate okay once a week)(1/3)

  22. Have a picnic(completed Feb 18, 2011)

  23. Go fishing/boating with dad

  24. Make an interesting cake Completed December 25, 2010 Sugar-free Flour-free Double Chocolate Avocado Torte

  25. Throw a party

  26. Try a new food (12/28/08 – Arepita …maria’s venezuelean food)

  27. Go to the beach (6/4/09 – 6/6/09 – Sarah & Miguel’s Wedding in Atlantic Beach)

  28. Go to a party (completed March 2010 WPPI Finao Sleepover Party)

  29. Buy a house

  30. Host a dinner party

  31. Go to my 10 year reunion my  class tried to have one but it didn’t work out.  lame.  oh well… on to the 20 year!

  32.   33. Get my bicycle fixed and ride it

  34. Be a guest at a wedding

  35. Blog every day for a month (30/30) completed Dec. 14, 2009

  36. Take a road trip just for fun completed Feb 13-14 2009 (Road trip on Rt 66 and Grand Canyon)

  37. Shoot a destination wedding

  38. Pay off my school loans

  39. Pay off my credit cards completed Feb. 23, 2009 Holy Moly! Yay!

  40. Pay off my car completed dec 10, 2009!

  41. Read the entire Bible

  42. Transition to a paperless office

  43. Play on a softball team

  44. Get my teeth professionally whitened

  45. Make 1 new recipe a month from my cookbook collection (1/33)(nov-tropical fruit cookies with mascarpone creme filling, dec-spicy bean and lentil loaf, jan-potato bake and saucy vegetable hominy over couscous, feb, mar, apr, may, jun, jul, aug, sep, oct, nov, dec, jan, feb, mar, apr, may, jun, jul, aug, sep, oct, nov, dec, jan, feb, mar, apr, may, jun, jul, aug, sep, oct, nov, dec, jan, feb, mar, apr, may, jun, jul)

  49. Have portraits made by a photographer I admire -completed 2009 by Laura Manzare & Dawn Roof

  50. Stay at the W Hotelcompleted september 19, 2009

  51. Buy a Mac – Completed December 2010

  52. Camp out on the island

  53. Buy a Wii and Wii Fit

  54. Learn to boat and get a boating license

  55. See a concert at the Grand Ole Opry

  57. Go to a drive-in movie

  58. Outsource more areas of my business

  59. Book 25 weddings each year – close enough for me to be happy marking this off:)

  60. Photograph a wedding proposal the bride doesn’t know about

  61. Introduce myself to 20 wedding professionals (10/20)

  62. Become friends with at least 5 of them (3/5)

  63. Second shoot with Tracy

  64. Buy Quickbooks Got it for Christmas 2008!

  65. Buy 1 guilt free pair of amazing shoes no matter the cost when I truly deserve it

  66. Become CPR certified

  67. Take a bubble bath in my new place Jan 2 2009

  68. Finish off my Netflix queue and quit adding more so I can cancel one day (12/134) cancelled dec 2009

  69. Ride in a hot air balloon

  92. Eat all the fruit and veggies I buy before they go bad done a great job of this one:)

  93. Stay at the Grand Hotel in Michigan

  94. Stay at the Hostel in the Forest in Georgia

  95. Stay at the Wigwam Village Hotel in Arizona (completed Feb 13 2009)

  96. Walk Soda every day

  97. Buy a 70-200mm 2.8 (completed May 2009!)

  98. Buy a 85mm 1.4

  99. Make better food choices consistently (started the no flour-no sugar diet on May 14 & have never felt better!)

  100. Stop popping my knuckles (pretty much completed as much as it ever will be much much better!)

  101. Go skinny dipping

    hey, i just read this list and was so surprised and flattered to find myself in it!! i hope you achieve everything you set your heart on and dare to believe in your aspirations! good luck and thanks for the idea, i might write a 101 of my own
